Wishing for Summer.

Spring and Summer are right around there corner. At least that's what I am telling myself, and seriously hoping for, while I wait for the snow to start... again. After the foot of snow we received Saturday I am so ready for it to be done with. In the spirit of warmer weather I have compiled a small list of items I am lusting after for the upcoming months!

Screen Shot 2014-02-18 at 11.27.58 AM

ONE// Longchamp 'Le Pliage small shoulder bag in "Lagoon."  As the proud Momma to two other 'Le Pliage bags I would love to get my hands on a nice spring color. My other two are darker fall/winter colors and extremely well loved.  Find this little beauty here.

TWO// A bathing suit from Triangl. If you haven't heard about Triangl yet then drop what you're doing and click here immediately. So cute, right? You're welcome.

THREE// How gorgeous is this ring? If you are following me on twitter (you're lame if not) you know how emotionally attached I am to my jewelry. Rings especially.  This one I asked my family for for my birthday. I'm turning 21 in May and would be the happiest girl in the world if the fam delivered on this beauty. Find this gorgeous little thing here.

FOUR//When you think summer, primarily during a snow storm, what is your first thought? I don't know about you but mine is a cold drink on the beach. To keep drinks cold you obviously need a koozie, duh. Good thing rougeandco on etsy does koozies better than anyone else.

FIVE// BOWS! I love bows- they're adorable, preppy, SASSY and can pull any outfit together. Southern Tea Boutique  has the best of the best. I will take one of each please!

SIX// Vineyard Vines shep shirt. Does a standard sweatshirt get any cuter? Nope. Really anything from Vineyard Vines can go a long way with me.

What are you lusting after for the upcoming months?

Wine Down Wednesday.

Good afternoon blog land! I am blogging to ya'll today from 7 degree weather that will feel like -10 tonight. I am also buried (not really, I ventured into the world briefly) under a foot of snow. Perhaps a little more but I mean who really knows. I also am no longer fighting a cold but am a sneezy, coughing and disgusting mess. I know, how attractive can one human being be. So despite the title of this post being about wine-ing down, tonight,  I think I will be "baileys-and-hot-chocolate-plus-nyquil-ing down. That's just too hard to fit into a title and doesn't own a category in my little dot com corner.

Moving on.

Since I was blessed with a snow day and runny nose I spent the majority of my day scouring Pinterest and various blogs for inspiration. What I came up with was uncontrollable jealousy after reading Erin's vacation recap over at Three Thirds Hazel and depression over my lack of creativity and money from pinterest-surfing. (I should mention I made it out to run a few errands and a little dress modeling. Find pics on twitter @pearls_sass.) So anyway since today is such a relaxing day with such strong jealousy, I would like to present-

If Life Were Pinterest Perfect with your host, me.

If life were pinterest perfect I would be packing my bags and jetting off to this picture perfect location in Cabo San Lucas. I would be able to lounge on the beach while drinking fruity cocktails and spend my evenings eating amazing dinners only to burn calories by dancing the night away. Except since life would be perfect calories wouldn't actually exist, duh.

If life were pinterest perfect I would have a cute little apartment decorated impeccably, where I could be as active or lazy as I wanted with no one to answer or explain myself too. I mean so what if a girl wants to bake chocolate cookies at midnight or do a circuit workout at 2am. Yolo, baby.

Speaking of baking. If life were perfect I would make amazing meals and desserts every night and the dishes would wash themselves. I am working on transitioning this one into a real life skill. The cooking that is. Stay tuned. (Those calories wouldn't matter either.. obviously. )

If life were perfect this would be a casual outfit for me opposed to the leggings, sweatshirt and boots look I rock daily. Oh yeah and there would be a photographer following me around to catch moments like these.

Finally, if life were pinterest perfect I would be blessed with the time and creativity to make something like this happen.

However, life isn't perfect. Not even a little bit. It's okay because I still have a roof over my head and adult hot chocolate to relax with. I have puffs next to my warm bed and dinner in the oven. So, without all of the extras, I'm as rich as they come. In love, happiness and morals that is!

It's about that time, folks. Happy hump day!

Let's chat- VS fashion show edition.

GOOD LORD! How many of you were at the gym this morning, ladies? (I was not but only because I woke up this morning with a migraine like no other.) I am sure the gym was packed with girls feeling inadequate, filled with hope that after one cardio session paired with some light lifting they would be the next VS angels. I think starting a workout regimen inspired by the angels is a pretty good thing actually. Those woman are in amazing shape and work so hard to maintain their bodies. Working out and eating well is one thing but are you willing to give up pizza, bagels and cheeseburgers? I didn't think so. Realize the angels are super genetically blessed and they don't get to PMS with chocolate and french fries. Sucks.

Here were a couple of my favorite looks from the show last night :

The colors, the costuming, wings and the makeup. gorgeous. What about those tans and tones muscles? We obviously can't forget the $10 million fantasy bra worn by Candice Swanepoel. I'll take one please, as well as those abs and legs. Thank you, Santa.

I like Candice because she is a natural beauty. Other than the bra which speaks for itself she looks like she is walking down the street on any given day and is totally rocking it. Oooh kill em.

Another successful show for Victoria's Secret. The music, costuming and energy is always so wonderful. So ladies, if you began a workout regimen or diet this morning after watching- do it for yourself, no one else. Enjoy calories in moderation, christmas cookies (try for moderation but I mean.. who can really control themselves with cookies?) and most of all be happy with yourself. Regardless of what size you are I bet you could put on a damn good show in your underwear to Trouble by TSwift. Am I right?
